Quranic (Divine) Verses on Islamic Values and Morals
Ponder on these Quranic Verses - "GOD may try you in the gifts GOD has given you"....
VICEGERANCY: “It is GOD Who has made you (GOD's ) vicegerents, inheritors of the earth: GOD has raised you in ranks, some above others: that GOD may try you in the gifts GOD has given you: ...(Qur’an, 6:165)
DIVINE GUIDANCE: “Get ye down both of you― all together from the Garden, with enmity one to another; but if, as is sure there comes to you guidance from ME, whosoever follows My guidance, will not lose his way nor fall into misery.”(Surah Taha)
JUSTICE: A major mission of all Prophets (peace be upon them) was the "establishment of justice among people" Quran Surah 57 Verse 25 Q 57:25
Stand for Justice even if it against a close relative 4:135; 5:8; 16:90; 42:15
"GOD commands justice and goodness in everything" Quran Chapter 16 Verse 90 Q 16:90
KILLING & SAVING LIVES:“..Take not life, which GOD hath made sacred, except by way of justice and law: thus does GOD command you, that ye may learn wisdom.” (al-An’am 6:151)
"If anyone saved a life,it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people" (Quran 5:32)
"Do not take a life except for just cause" 6:151; 17:33 2:84; 4:24;
PRIDE :"Turn not your face away from men with pride, nor walk in insolence through the earth. Verily, GOD likes not each arrogant boast" (Surat al-Luqman, 31:18)
Do not strut (show off) though the Earth acting like you are so great 6:151; 17:37
THE MESSAGE OF ISLAM - Islam has the same message that was sent by all the Prophets to all of mankind over time. This can be summarized as:
Believe in GOD, do Good Deeds, Join together with Others to Speak the Truth and Be Patient (Al-sura Asr)
HONESTY- Do not touch an Orphan's (weak Person) property unless you are going to improve it 6:151; 17:35
Do not cheat - give correct measure 6:151; 17:35
Fulfill your agreements 17:35
Do not Commit Fraud, Bribery or be Dishonest 83:1; 2.188 8:27; 17:26; 83: 2-5
MORALS - Be kind to your parents 6:151; 17:32
Do not go near Shameful deeds 6:151; 17:32
Believers, let not a group of you mock another. Perhaps they are better than you. Let not women mock each other; perhaps one is better than the other.
Let not one of you find faults in another nor let anyone of you defame another. .. Q49:11
Quranic Pearls of Wisdom There are many Divine Pearls of Wisdom in the Quran. These are a select few.
For example, Sura 17 has the SEVEN Pillars of Widom (17:31 to 17:39; (see below)
We also have the Ten Commandments in Surah 6 - 6:151 (see below)
Please find the time to research the Quran on your own for these as well as for other DIVINE verses like these.
